Under Impact Data > Circularity, you’ll see your recycled content broken down two ways:
- Declared — the percentage you report yourself, with no supporting documentation.
- Verified — the share of that percentage backed by a recognized third-party certificate: GRS, RCS, EuCertPlast, TÜV SÜD, or SRCCS.
This distinction exists because of the EU Green Claims Directive, which requires any circularity-related claim made externally to be substantiated with verifiable evidence. Declaring 50% recycled content without a certificate is enough for internal tracking, but if you plan to communicate that figure to customers or in a sustainability report, uploading the certificate is what makes the claim defensible.
If you have a certificate for a material, add it under that material’s declaration in Step 2: Material to have it reflected as verified.
