Report the fuel you burn in boilers, emergency generators and ovens in the Scope 1 – Combustion tab. This is Scope 1 stationary combustion; the fuel used by vehicles goes in the fleet tab.
Steps
- In the Emission Sources tab, add each piece of equipment (boiler, generator, oven) with the Scope 1 and the category Combustion – stationary.
- In the Scope 1 – Combustion tab, add one row per source with the Site ID, the Emission source declared in Emission Sources, the Fuel type and the Amount consumed.
- Select the Data source of the figure.
Where to find the data
Your gas or fuel supplier invoices and the fuel delivery notes. If you only have an estimate, say so in the Data source.
Good to know
Only fixed equipment goes here. Electricity and heat or steam bought from a third party are Scope 2.
The Fuel type already includes its unit (for example, Natural gas (m³) or Gas oil C – heating (liters)), so enter the amount in that unit.
