Report each vehicle with either the fuel consumed (Option A) or the kilometers driven (Option B), never both. Company vehicles are Scope 1 mobile combustion, including those under a financial lease.
Steps
- Go to the 6. Scope 1 – Fleet tab.
- For each vehicle, select the Site ID, the Emission source declared in 2b, the Vehicle category, the Fuel type and whether it uses a biofuel blend.
- Option A: if you have refueling invoices, choose the Unit (liters or kg) and enter the amount consumed.
- Option B: if you have GPS or fleet records, choose km, enter the kilometers driven and the average consumption (l/100km).
Good to know
- Only vehicles you own or lease under a financial lease go here. Operating leases (rentals) count only if your consolidation approach is Operational control and you operate them.
- Liters give a more accurate result than kilometers, because kilometers need an assumed consumption.
- Employees’ own vehicles used for business trips are Scope 3, so they are not part of this inventory.
