Your Durability score, found under Impact Data > Circularity, starts at the industry average — displayed as 0 — and only goes up from there. This is a deliberate choice: BCome doesn’t subtract points for the absence of durability practices, it only adds points when you validate practices like:
- Repairable construction (accessible seams, detachable components)
- Timeless or classic styling
- Adjustable or modular elements
- Compatible, durable material combinations
So if you see a Durability score of 0, that doesn’t mean your product performs badly — it means no practices have been declared yet, and the product is being treated as average. Declaring even one or two relevant practices will move the score up.
Repairability is scored separately and combines your design choices with two things: the services your brand offers around repair (repair network, spare parts) and how affordable repair actually is relative to the product’s price — a product can be technically repairable and still rarely get repaired if fixing it costs nearly as much as replacing it.
