Your Circularity results live under Impact Data > Circularity, alongside your product’s LCA and Eco-Score data.
The Circularity Score is a single 0–100% figure showing how far your product sits from a fully linear model (100% virgin materials, everything landfilled after one use) versus a fully circular one (no virgin material, no waste, maximum use intensity). BCome’s methodology is based on the Material Circularity Indicator (MCI) framework developed by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, adapted to the fashion and textile sector. It’s built from three things combined:
- Virgin material use — how much of the product’s mass comes from non-recycled, non-reused sources.
- Unrecoverable waste — the mass of material that ends up landfilled or incinerated across the product’s lifecycle, including manufacturing losses and end-of-life waste.
- Utility — how long and intensively the product is used compared to an industry-average product of the same type, based on your declared durability and use-extension practices.
What it doesn’t measure: this score is about circularity — material origin, waste, and use intensity — not environmental impact in the LCA sense (carbon, water, etc.). A product can have a strong Circularity Score and a weaker Eco-Score, or vice versa; they answer different questions.
